One afternoon when Nancy is busy doing homework, she gets a phone
call from her classmate Carrie. It seems that Carrie has something
to ask her.

＂Let’s just cut to the chase!＂는 바쁜 상황에서 누군가가 장황하게 말을 늘어놓을 때 ＂(쓸데없는 이야기 하지말고) 본론으로 들어가자＂라고 말할 때 쓸 수 있는 표현입니다.
