Last week, Jane helped Peter with his school project. So Peter wants to thank her by treating her to dinner tonight.

Peter: Jane, are you free tonight? I want to treat you to dinner.
Jane: I’m free tonight, but why are you treating me?
Peter: You helped me with my school project the other day and I got an A+.
So I’d like to thank you by treating you to a nice dinner.
Jane: Oh, I’m glad to hear you got an A+. But you don’t need to treat me Peter.
          What are friends for?
Peter: Please let me. I really want to thank you.
Jane: Ok, then, I’ll come.
Peter: Great! What would you like to have?
Jane: I’m easy. Whatever you want. Do you have a restaurant in mind?
Peter: Yeah, actually, I know a really nice Italian restaurant around here. Let’s go there.
Jane: All right. Thanks, Peter.

피터: 제인, 오늘밤에 시간 있니? 너한테 저녁을 대접하고 싶어.
제인: 요전 날 내 연구과제를 도와줘서 네 덕분에 A+를 받았어. 그래서 감사의 의미로 저녁을
          대접하고 싶어.
제인: 아, 네가 A+를 받았다는 말을 들으니 기쁜데 나한테 아무것도 대접할 필요 없어, 피터. 친구 좋다는 게 뭐냐?
피터: 널 대접하게 해줘. 너한테 정말 감사의 뜻을 전하고 싶어.
제인: 알았어, 그럼 갈게.
피터: 좋아! 뭐 먹고 싶니?
제인: 난 아무거나 좋아. 네가 원하는 거 아무거나. 생각해 둔 레스토랑 있니?
피터: 응, 사실 이 근처에 정말 괜찮은 이태리 식당을 알고 있어. 거기로 가자.
제인: 좋아. 고맙다, 피터.

■ The Meaning of the Expression

＂I’m easy＂입맛, 취향 등이 까다롭지 않고 아무거나 다 잘 먹고, 가리지 않는다. 는 의미로 “아무거나 괜찮다”라는 뜻으로 쓰이는 표현입니다.
