Gwen: Hey, Alex, congratulations!

Alex: Huh? About what? It's not my birthday.

Gwen: I know. I'm talking about your scholarship!

Alex: What? Did I get the scholarship for next semester?

Gwen: Yes, I just heard it from Professor Lee.

Alex: Wow! I can't believe this.

Alex: 어? 뭘 축하해? 오늘은 내 생일도 아닌데.

Gwen: 나도 알아. 네 장학금에 대해 얘기하는 거야!

■The Meaning of the Expression  

"make one's day" 는 "~의 하루를 즐겁게 해주다" 라는 의미로 다른 사람 덕분에 기분이

좋아졌을 때 "덕분에 (오늘 하루) 기분이 아주 좋아졌다" 라고 말할 때 자주 쓰이는 표현이니 꼭 외워두세요!
