A: Hey, you went to the department store yesterday, didn't you? 

B: Yes, I did. How did you know?

A: Well, I was there, too and I saw you walking by.

B: Why didn't you say hello then?

A: I did. I called out your name, but you didn't hear me.

B: Oh, really? I'm sorry. I really didn't hear you calling out my name.

A: It's ok. It was pretty loud there.

B: Yes, it was. So, what did you buy?

A: I bought some winter clothes.

B: Oh I see. I went there just to meet someone.

■ Translation

A: 얘, 너 어제 백화점에 갔었지?

B: 응. 어떻게 알았어?

A: 나도 어제 거기 갔었는데 네가 지나가는 걸 봤거든.

B: 그럼 왜 인사 안 했어?

A: 했어. 네 이름을 크게 불렀는데, 네가 못 듣더라.

B: 정말? 미안. 네가 내 이름 부르는 소리 정말 못 들었어.

A: 괜찮아. 백화점이 무척 시끄러웠으니까.

B: 응, 그랬지. 그래, 넌 뭘 샀니?

A: 겨울 옷 좀 샀어.

B: 그랬구나. 난 그냥 누구 좀 만나러 갔었어.
