That's the Tip of the Iceberg!

■Dialogue

Lauren and Michel are discussing their group project after school at the school cafeteria.

Lauren: So, how can we prepare for our group project?
Michel: Well, since it's about the people who overcame their difficulties, we should pick a person we are going to talk about first.
Lauren: Right. How about Abraham Lincoln?
Michel: That's a great idea! He went through so many hardships in his lifetime, but still accomplished a lot of things.
Lauren: Yeah, let's search the Internet to learn more about him.
Michel: Sure. Hey, look what I found! According to my data, he led a really tough life! Listen. He had to struggle for a living since he was young. Besides, his mother died when he was only 10. Also, his three children and wife died when he was still young.
Michel: That's just the tip of the iceberg! I found out that he also failed so many times in his career was until he finally elected as the 16th president in 1861.
Lauren: Wow! I really admire him! I guess nothing's impossible when you devote yourself to your dreams!

■Translation

Lauren:

The Meaning of the Expression

"The tip of the iceberg"
