Gwen and Stephanie are studying together for midterms at Gwen's place. But suddenly, Stephanie gets a migraine.
Gwen: Hey, how's your study going?
Stephanie: Ugh! I have so many things to study today.
Gwen: Me, too. If you have time, please help me with this math problem.
Stephanie: Sure. And you have to help me solve this biology problem.
Gwen: Alright. Hey, you don't look so good.
Stephanie: Yeah, I'm getting a migraine.
Gwen: Oh, really? Do you need an aspirin?
Stephanie: That won't help me at all. I always suffer from migraines every day at this hour.
Gwen: I'm sorry to hear that.
Stephanie: Not only me but my mom and sister are suffering from the same problem.
Gwen: Is there a cure for it?
Stephanie: Well, I don't think so. It's a genetic thing. It runs in the family.
Gwen: I see. Oh, hey, would you like to have a cup of hot tea then? It might help a little.
Stephanie: That sounds great. Thanks.

Gwen: 얘, 공부 어떻게 되어 가니?

Stephanie: 그래, 편두통이 생겼어.
Gwen: 아 그래? 아스피린 줄까?
Stephanie: 전혀 도움이 안 될 거야. 매일 이 시간에 편두통을 앓거든.
Gwen: 안됐다.
Stephanie: 나뿐만 아니라 우리 엄마랑 언니도 똑같은 문제를 겪고 있어.
Gwen: 치료 방법은 없니?
Stephanie: 없는 것 같아. 유전적인 문제거든. 집안 내력이야.

■ The Meaning of the Expression
＂It runs in the family.＂는어떤 질병이나 유전적인 요인이 한 집안 식구 모두에게 나타날 때 쓸 수 있는 말로 ＂그건 집안 내력이야＂ 라는 의미입니다.
